Initial Orientation (5 hours, no charge):
Deep dive into existing donor data
Review of current organizational contacts and structures
Strategic Development Planning:
Website review with recommendations and implementation support
Coordination with marketing for enhanced social media presence
Establish 6- and 12-month scopes of work (submitted for approval)
Creation of a fundraising initiatives calendar (monthly and quarterly)
Gala Development
Sponsorship strategy and outreach
End-of-year appeal planning
Social media calendar development and coordination
Gala Planning & Logistics:
Link creation and donation flow setup
Detailed logistics plan and development timeline
1–2 in-person meetings per month (as needed)
Ongoing Support & Accountability:
Bi-weekly progress reports with time logs and updates
Create proposed scope of work for initiatives with opportunities to scale as needs evolve
Suggested Starting Engagement
Initial commitment:
20 hours/week for the first month
5-hour complimentary onboarding
Flexibility to increase hours leading up to key events (e.g., Gala) with approval
Additional team members or increased hours can be requested and approved as needed
Retainer and Rates
$2000 Retainer
Development Support: $20/hour
Item Acquisition & Management: $25/hour
On-Site Event Management (e.g., Gala Night): Higher hourly rate, or a flat monthly block rate can be arranged
Long-Term Value
After 3 months, our team can draft a comprehensive Development Position outline based on actual organizational needs and activity. This will assist in the budgeting and hiring for a full-time or contracted Development Director with a clear, board-approved scope of work.
